It’s been a while since our last post. Let’s talk about a subject near and dear to my personal experiences with the actual weight and size of purses and totes today.
While on a recent winter trip down south to a warm climate, I noticed Denise’s tote was really what I call heavy. It not only has all her stuff she thinks she’ll need during the day, she’ll also carry my stuff. I wouldn’t want to carry it all of the time.
It reminds me of when I was still working. Being a service technician I always carried a heavy overloaded tool bag. I regularly experienced hand and arm pain (arthritis now). I would regularly go for physical therapy and chiropractic care.
Once, I tried using a shoulder strap to ease the hand/arm pain. That caused a shoulder/neck condition that lasted for many months. I gave that strap away.
The point is this, totes and purses are getting bigger and they hold more stuff which makes them heavier and heavier. It doesn’t take a medical professional to say, lighten up the load and save your body (i.e. neck, shoulders, spine, arms, hands, hips, knees, etc.)

Have a great day and lighten up!
